Hackathon Postponement due to Covid19 Issues
Hi everyone,
I am sorry I have to inform you that due to Covid19 issues in the Sunshine State (ie Florida), we have had to postpone the Hackthon by around 8 weeks. We are now looking at Oct.21-23 for this event.
In the meanwhile, we have expanded our team, which now includes in addition to myself (based in Clearwater, Florida): Carol Bolger, Co-organizer (local); Richard Job, who has joined as Developer Evangelist based in Chennai, India; Jose Alexandro Gomes, who has joined as Pandemic Advisor from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil; Muntaser Syed, doing his Phd in AI & ML at FIT in Melbourne Florida (Hackathon winner & Advisor); Ally May, Technical Recruiter who used to work for Amazon and Uber as well as Joey DeVilla, who publishes GlobalNerdy.com website and The Adventures of the Accordion Guy.
As it so happens, despite getting an endorsement from Synapsefl.com and favorable publicity in local media, we need to raise $25K to pull off this event. We are looking at Platinum sponsor ($10K); Gold Sponsor ($5K) as well as 10 Silver Sponsors @ $1K each. Plus, I will donate 5 New Chromebooks to hackers who hail from Africa or other developing countries. If you know of any companies interested in sponsoring this event, pls ping me via email or Whatsapp and we can discuss briefly and see what we can accomplish.
We are also looking to build a new Developer Recruiting Platform using DevPost and IP we have developed via this project. If anyone wants to become a Beta Client or help our team (ie Richard, Carol, Jose & me) with developing the MVP and marketing it to Startups, pls let us know. We are open to new relationships & partnerships. Best way to get involved with both the Hackathon and/or Startup is join our Jira Board.
